Gedo Mazo (2018)

2018 · Inspired Vector Artwork by Mio

Created entirely by Mio using a mouse and Adobe Illustrator in 2018, Gedo Mazo is a vector-based work inspired by the visual world of Naruto and Japanese manga and anime.

Rather than relying on recognizable logos, typography, or conventional fan-art aesthetics, the piece isolates the striking form of the Gedo Mazo and translates it into a clean, graphic composition. The result functions equally well as an anime reference for those who recognize it and as an enigmatic visual object for those who do not.
