Groundwork.
Human development in the age of AI.
Young Futures invited me to help share Groundwork, a three-year initiative investing in the conditions young people need to think for themselves, build meaningful relationships, and thrive alongside AI.
The Unwritten Challenge · United States
$50,000–$100,000 for youth-serving nonprofits.
Groundwork is Young Futures’ $15 million initiative across the U.S. and U.K. Its first challenge supports U.S. nonprofits helping young people build critical thinking and judgment, equipping trusted adults, and improving the conversation about youth and AI.
Inquiry window: September 23–October 16, 2026. Selected organizations also join the five-month Young Futures Academy. Details for the later U.S. and U.K. challenges will be announced separately.
